Design for a museum for experimental artistic work
A think tank for the Tegernsee
Filmic use of the signal color orange red in the inner courtyard. The dyed handmade paper of the model contains parts of reflective minerals, so the color radiates in the hue. The interior colors everything.
The skin reflects the color and the people turn red. In this utopian color courtyard you can pass through a maw-shaped entrance without entering the interior. People seem to appear and disappear through the corridors, as the entrance doors on the right and left visually disappear into the corridors.
The rooms are intended to promote experimental artistic work. Discussions and improvisations should take place here. Ideas can be realized, exhibited and discussed. There are rooms to retreat to and to cook together. Spaces like a hot steam for the body to switch off.
The exhibition space is reminiscent of an industrial hall or church. The red light of the courtyard shines in through the skylights from the inside and lures the viewer into the courtyard. Like in the film Suspiria
by Dario Agento, announcing the transition to the next room. The body of the hall is cut to the south by a line through which sunlight enters the vessel. The slit of light becomes a sundial on the floor in the interior.
The building complex is located directly opposite the Tegernsee train station and is therefore easily accessible from Munich.
To the south of the building, the lake can be reached via the terrace of the sauna restaurant and the terrace of the communal kitchen via a few steps. This is where the circular path around the lake runs.
The SHARK thus provides direct access from the station through the Red Courtyard to the lake.

10 x guest rooms / residency 26m2 each
1x communal kitchen 126m2, with pantry and an adjoining outdoor terrace facing south
1x Bicycle storage room
4x Long Term Atelier each 126m2 with ceiling crane on T-beam
Freight elevator connected to truck access
All floors with wheelchair access and forklift access (for easy assembly and disassembly of sculptures)
This enables flexible use in times of crisis and thus ensures the long-term preservation of the building
