Haltestelle Ehinger Tor Ulm, Galerie Kunstpool
Die Installation kann täglich zu jeder Uhrzeit besucht werden und ist von den Coronaauflagen unabhängig.
Konzept und Umsetzung Lukas Pfalzer und Susanne Hopmann auf Einladung des Kunstpool Ulm.
Die ortsbezogene temporäre Installation an der Haltestelle Ehinger Tor setzt sich aus zwei Videoloops zusammen. Das Ehinger Tor hat den brachialen Charme einer Zukunft, die längst vergangen ist. Großflächig wird die Filmaufnahme einer Massage auf einer LED Videowand in die urbane Umgebung eingefügt, kontrastiert den schweren metallischen Bau mit der Idee einer leichten Berührung: einer wohlwollenden Einflussnahme.
Die Finger wandern über den Rücken, lokalisieren Verhärtungen und Verspannungen, die sie durch Druck und Wärme lösen. Die Präsenz der Berührung wird spürbar auf der eigenen Haut. Eine Analogie besteht zwischen dem sich stetig verändernden Umfeld welche die Lebenswelt der Menschen beeinflusst und den massierenden Händen, welche die Form des Körpers nachfühlen und ihn gleichzeitig formen. Busse und Straßenbahnen erzeugen eine konstante Bewegungs- und Geräuschkulisse. Menschen steigen um, warten, laufen hastig von Bahn zu Bus, von oder zur Arbeit, unterhalten sich, telefonieren, sammeln Leergut oder kaufen Drogen. Gegenüberliegend, zwei Hände im Dialog von Berührungen: fühlend, tastend, streichelnd, drückend. Der Film auf dem Bildschirm im Innenraum eines Schaufensters, strahlt nachts auf die betonierte Straße.
An der Haltestelle besteht Maskenpflicht. Es gibt erste Lockerungen im Lockdown. Die Einschränkungen und Sorgen sind überall präsent. Schon früh, auch am Wochenende, ist die sonst lebhafte Haltestelle nahezu leer.
Beginn am 7.3. um 17 Uhr, die Künstler sind anwesend,
ebenso am 12.-14. und vom 19.-21. März, jeweils von 17-20 Uhr

The site-specific temporary installation at the Ehinger Tor bus stop is composed of two video loops. The Ehinger Tor has the brute charm of a future that has long since passed. On a large scale, the film recording of a massage on an LED video wall is inserted into the urban environment, contrasting the heavy metallic building with the idea of a light touch: A benevolent influence.
The fingers wander over the back, locating hardenings and tensions, which they release through pressure and heat. The presence of touch becomes palpable on one’s own skin. An analogy exists between the ever-changing environment that influences people’s lives and the massaging hands that feel the shape of the body and shape it at the same time. Buses and streetcars create a constant backdrop of movement and noise. People are changing trains, waiting, walking hurriedly from train to bus, from or to work, talking, talking on the phone, collecting empties or buying drugs. On the other side of the station , two hands in a dialogue of touches: feeling, groping, stroking, pressing. The film on the screen inside a shop window shines onto the concreted street at night.
Masks are compulsory at the bus stop. There are first relaxations in the lockdown. The restrictions and worries are present everywhere. Early on, even on weekends, the otherwise lively stop is almost empty.
Start on 7.3. at 17 o’clock, the artists are present, also on March 12-14 and 19-21, each from 5 to 8 p.m.
